On this episode, we talk with Khun Bee, owner of Bangkok Matching, Bangkok’s 1 premium marriage matchmaking service. It’s a very different ball of wax from a simple dating site, and in a very interesting conversation, Khun Bee tells us how she got the idea for her business, some of the often unrealistic expectations her clients have, and a few of the surprising problems she encounters on a day-to-day basis. We also get an inside track into the sometimes brutal task of finding love – what happens when you want someone out of your league?
How do you tell someone that no one’s interested in them? And what happens if a date is a disaster? And to top it all of – Tony gives us his experiences as a client of Khun Bee’s, and tells us what it was like going on 11 dates over a period of a few weeks, and why he now has the nickname “”.
The first Super Smash Bros. UItimate patch has been released by Nintendo and we have patch notes showing changes for multiple fighters, matchmaking and more. Yesterday I reported on the patch that would be released and the only aspects that we knew were coming was the removal of the replays that were already saved to the Smash Ultimate folder in-game in your Nintendo Switch. I recommended everyone that wanted to keep those awesome kills you have already saved to re-save them to your Nintendo Switch storage or microSD card.
Now that the patch is live, we can jump into what changes have been made. Patch 1. After this update is downloaded, ” the Format setting of your Preffered Rules will be more highly prioritized “, essentially meaning that players will not be experiencing as much random free-for-alls or other forms of matches when they originally queued for a 1v1.
Nintendo warns that this may cause players to experience longer queue times. Nintendo also mentions that this still will not ” guarantee that you’ll find a match that has your exact Preffered Rules “. It is unclear what changes were exactly made to these fighters, but I would assume it would be nothing major power wise for the characters, instead this would be major bug fixes for interactions with characters or objects.
This is just an assumption though, we may hear more about the changes once players can figure out what has exactly been tweaked. Background Matchmaking is an online mode that allows players to play others modes while the game searches for an online battle. Upon selecting this menu.
Getting exactly the match you want, with either friends you know or random folks across the internet, has never been easier. A wired connection is not possible while the console is undocked. For more on this, read our setup guide. If you have friends you want to play with online, Smash Ultimate now lets you manage game lobbies to your exact desires. In the Online menu, go to Battle Arenas and choose Create Arena to set up a game lobby and tailor the rules to whatever you wish.
In order to keep it to just your friends, you can control the number of people who can join the lobby as well as set up a PIN to keep things private. All that extra control also lets you spectate matches that happen in your lobby by placing your player token on the spectator stands before a match starts. Players who are queued up to play may also spectate if they join the lobby before a match begins.
When joining a public Arena, you can limit your search results by choosing the format one-on-one, teams, four player smash, etc , the scoring rules stock, time limit or stamina and if Spirit assists are turned on or off. You can also choose a type, which is a vague category that meant to identify the type of player the Arena host is looking to attract. Spectating is a nice feature but it also has some limitations. This means you might be sitting in an Arena with nothing to do for several minutes, not even able to swap characters without losing your place in line.
Quickplay is, go figure, the quickest way to get into an online Smash match.

In rare instances where a connection is especially bad between the players with constant pauses that don’t cease, the game may disconnect all players without penalty and automatically end the match in a no contest. For Fun acts as a counterpart of For Glory in that it forces free-for-alls and items, as well as having a nearly unrestricted stage selection.
For Glory has received divided opinions from the community. For Glory’s main draw is giving players a mode to get quickly and easily matched up with a wide range of other players online under competitive rules, without having to set matches up with players through external means. For Glory is also heavily criticized for its seemingly nonexistent or illogical matchmaking system. Despite it being claimed in the the Nintendo Direct that announced the mode that there would be “some sort of matchmaking based on skill” present, players find themselves matched up against other players of all skill levels at what seems to be random, from top competitive players down to seemingly first-time players, regardless of how frequently they win or lose.
This lack of a logical matchmaking system led to the persistent belief that only low-level players play on For Glory, as higher level players are uncommonly matched up against each other on the mode. Additionally on Smash for Wii U, players’ name tags are visible to each other, which griefers and salty players notoriously abuse frequently to insult and demean their opponents. One more criticism of the mode is it disallowing players from being able to play as the Mii Fighters , which is often cited as one of the main reasons, alongside their legality issues in competitive play, as for why each of the Miis became the least played characters in competitive play.
However through modding it is possible to play as the Miis on For Glory without any repercussions.
